Catching Up!

A few quick notes!

1) Pictures from November's trip to Rocky Point are now online.

2) Microsoft has released a beta of their new anit-spyware program. Check it out.

3) I had a *BLAST* in Houston for NYE, and those pics should be going up before too long. I can't wait to go back in a couple weeks for K&J's wedding! ;)

New Pictures

Well, I have the pictures from Chris & Erica's wedding ceremony up. I have completely removed the old photo galleries, and replaced them with the new system. I haven't had time to enhance the look but the one that ships with it is very clean, and I rather like it. You can view the new photo albums at http://photos.zirkler.com/ Let me know what you think! Hopefully in the next couple of days I'll get the remaining pictures from the weekend up as well.

New Skin

Okay, so before anyone asks, or points it out, YES! I stole this skin. But its absolutely gorgeous, and the author made it available to download. I did take up his suggestion to put a graphic at the header, and *THAT* I did do myself, with a photograph I took myself. So thanks to gostango for the beautiful skin!

I'm also working on replacing the photo gallery with something that will give me a bit more control and flexibility over when photos go up and down. I'm having a heck of a time managing my freespace on the server, and it feels like a waste to invest time into a photo gallery only to have all your hard work go away when you have to yank it to make room for more photos! The new photo gallery might even be up next week! :)

Anyhow, what do y'all think of the new look? PLEASE! Let me know!

Picture Posting Marathon

When I should have been matting, or sleeping, or doing anything else, I got caught up in posting all the pictures I've taken over the last 6 weeks! All of these are funsaver pictures, and they're all up in Concerts & Road Trips section of the gallery.

Everything after 3/17 is new as of tonight! ;) ENJOY! Let me know what you think.

Oh, and Erika, tomorrow I'll post an entry about church! ;) I promise!

I have just finished implementing the Hottie of the Moment feature! You can always click on the left to get the rundown, and they will be stored in the photo gallery as well. The first one, is the wonderfully yummy Ms. Alison Lohman. ;) ENJOY!

Well, I finally have both computers talking to each other consistently, and the internet is going through the NEW computer finally! It took some doing though! Oh yeah, I also got XP Pro installed on the new system (couldn't stand Home any longer!) Plus i got rid of all that bloat that new comptuers ship with! Yippee for me! I also got the Intel NIC that I've had sitting around for a couple years into the new system. And swapped the CD drive that came with the system for the DVD and CDRW that were in the old system. You should see the mess of wires I got goin on... I need ot get back there and untangle all that, but I'm too lazy today.

I've got all my “every-day“ software installed and updated (Outlook, Office, RssBandit, IHateSpam, NAV, MSN Messenger, Photoshop, etc...) I think with the exception of VS.NET, this comptuer is ready for almost anything I can throw at it.

I can't find my VS.NET discs, I think Gary might have them... I'll have to remember to ask.

I also got a new idea for a new “feature” on the website... “Crush of the Moment” or “Hottie of the Moment” (I'll take either of those two)... I'll store the image in one of my photo galleries, and link to it here (in a new category)... Hmmm... I'll probably hook that up tomorrow.

Portraits - Gail, Julie & Karl

I spent the afternoon working on getting these pictures ready for the gallery. So, if you would like, you can view this collection of portraits that I took of my Aunt Gail, my cousin Julie and my Dad. Please comment! I'm curious as to feedback on them!

I have 4 other sets of images that I may be able to get uploaded tonight if I don't spend too much time on them.

Also, every time I need to go add to my photo album, it reinforces that I really need to separate my snapshot albums from my portfolio albums. I also want to completely revamp the entire site. I know how I want it, I just don't have the time I need to get it that way!

Earlier, I stumbled across this photo blog. Emese Gaal is apparently an amateur photographer. I got sucked into her website. Her portraits (and especially her self-portraits) are stunning. Anyhow, if you got a few minutes to kill, check her site out, you'll be glad you did.
