Tramps & Thieves kicked ass tonight (as usual)! A little rough around the edges, but most definitely a great time! I *LOVE* Dave Insley's new band, and I can't wait for the new cd. And, Tom Gilliam, who i've seen only once before was awesome (what little i did hear tonight)...

I had a wonderful time tonight. Ashbrook last night was also a great time. I think I got a couple people converted to fan status! :)

I'm so looking forward to sleeping in again tomorrow... And *DAMN* I wanna go to Tucson, even if only for a little while... Gotta think about that one for a little bit... ;) Anyhow... bedtime...

Well, I'm back from Mexico!!!! What a wonderful weekend! I can't wait to share the photos with everyone! I want to make a slideshow from as many photos as I can get my hands on. I have about 600 pictures from the weekend of my own (well, from Wednesday night thorough this afternoon when I dropped Diablo, Dre and Mark off at the airport)... So, if you have pictures, email me (damon@zirkler.com) and we'll figure out a way for me to get them from you!

Well, I'm gonna see if I can get some of these through photoshop before I get too tired...

Ok, so this is a bunch of bullshit.

Last Wednesday was my court date for my ticket that I received when I had my accident last month. Unfortunately I forgot about it, and remembered Wednesday night. I went into the courthouse Friday morning to pay the fine and any late fees. The clerk informed me that if you're involved in an accident in the Town of Gilbert, and you receive a ticket, you must see a judge. You can't just pay the fine. You have to see a judge. Well, since my court date had passed, she made me fill out a petition for a new court date, so I could talk to a judge.

A week goes by, and today in the mail, I recieve the response. They denied my request, because “Too much time had lapsed between the court date and the request.” TWO FREAKING DAYS! So, you know what? I have to pay the fine of $140, plus the $20 late fee! WHICH I WAS READY TO PAY A WEEK AGO! What a freaking load of crap!

Damn, why didn't they just let me pay the fucking fine a week ago when I was *ALREADY AT THE COURTHOUSE!*. Oh well.

Anyhow, sorry its been so long since I posted, and Sorry to Erika that I didn't post anything about church. I was way busy at work and school. Speaking of school, I posted the new Pictures. Click on the link on the right for th “Small Towns (part 2)”.

Also, Can I say I'm very glad Claire Marie didn't go back to CT! What a fun time I had tonight at Rula Bula! One of the best little bars in AZ! :) Anyhow, Time for bed, since I know I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow, and saturday, and sunday... *sigh*

Why am I so absolutely WIRED tonight??? I'm going on being up for 20 hours! and I'm so completely amped right now! I have a stack of papers that I want to read, and I could clean, and laundry, etc... but here I am going nuts on the computer!

I also just found out that the Elliots are hitting the road in May! I wonder if I can make any of those shows? I wonder if I can convince anyone else to go with me? Unfortunately the first part of it is when I'm in Mexico, so that ain't gonna work... maybe Memorial Day weekend? Hmmm... we'll have to see how it works!

Anyhow, I think I'm gonna try to sleep now.

I always look forward to Sundays since I usually get to relax. I originally was supposed to go hiking, but we just couldn't get our shit together (or maybe it was me?).

Anyhow, I got bored with the three books I started to read, and took them all back to the library today. I instead got the new Patterson novel, Big Bad Wolf (well, actually I think there's one more newer book now). As well as a couple mystery books. But the one I started first is Shopgirl by Steven Martin. I LOVED The Pleasure of My Company, and so far this one is not disappointing me. I love the voice that he uses in his books. Here's a quick example from one of the first few chapters:

Jeremy and Mirabelle are separated by a hundred million miles of vacuum space. He falls asleep at night in blissful ignornace. She, subtly doped on her new prescription, time-travels through the terrain of her unconscious until she is overcome by sleep. He knows only what is right in front of him; she is aware of every incoming sensation that glances obliquely against her soft, fragile core. At this stage of their lives, in true and total fact, the only thing they have in common is a Laundromat.

Pure genius! Then again, I've been a big fan of Steve Martin for years.

So, I got a new phone. I ordered a new computer from Dell Refirb. I got an appointment Tuesday with the claims adjuster to look at Spaceball One. *sigh* hopefully all this is over with now.

Oh, last night was the Farewell to Long Wongs! :( I got a roll in the funsaver that I'll post when i get it developed. What a great night! Quite possibly the BEST Truckers on Speed show ever. And the rest of the night was awesome too!

I now have 3 funsavers to be developed from the last couple weeks. I'll try to drop them off tomorrow... Ok, well I gotta get moving because I can only get about 20-30 minutes out of the computer before the keyboard and mouse die... then I have to kill it for an hour or so. I'm sure its an overheat problem, but all the fans are functioning properly. I'm not sure why it started doing this. It helps to have the sides and top off of the case, but not by much. When I get the new computer, I'll discet this one and see if I can breathe some more life into it.

Anyhow, that's all for now, kids!

Can I just start with “I HATE LEFT HAND TURNS!” And my dislike for them just got a lot stronger!

I barely made it out of my driveway this morning before I was abruptly stopped by another vehicle trying to occupy the same space at the same time... *sigh* So that sucked. I think I'll be avoiding left hand turns for some time...

Also, earlier this week, in Dallas, my phone died. It completely shorted out and erased all the memory. So if you think I have your phone number, email me to make sure, cuz I may not have written it down anyplace but my phone.

And then last night, I determined definitively that my computer is FUBARed. Something with the Mouse/Keyboard controller is on the fritz... I think it's overheating, and It might have permenant damage, so there goes yet another expense!

A very expensive week indeed!

BUT, the Peacemakers sounded GREAT in Dallas tuesday night! Tuesday/Wednesday was a very long day, but it was so worth it! And I'd do it again! Pictures will be posted as soon as I get them back! The Elliots play at Rula Bula tonight. Yeah!

*WOW* What a show tonight! Barenaked Ladies, with the Peacemakers opening up! The PMs did a hell of a rocking set... it was good to see it rock so much! And it was my frist time seeing BNL! And definitely this won't be the last! ;)

Well, I'm off to Alamogordo (via El Paso) tomorrow afternoon... hopefully I'll be able to get a bunch of rolls shot over the weekend... I already know of two spots that I want to hit, so we should be in good shape even if those are all that I hit!

Anyhow, I gotta finish packing and get some sleep... Toodles!

So here it is at 03:30, and I'm still pretty much wide awake. I got home from seeing Suspect Audio and then Shurman (both of which were VERY good shows!), and popped in Blast from the Past. And still after all that I'm not really tired. :( I'm gonna settle back down with my book (Greenhouse Summer by Norman Spinrad), and see if sleep will eventually come to me.

Hey, in case you're interested, today I registered the domain suddenconfusion.com and will probably be moving all my personal stuff over to that... ;) Should be fun!
